Update on Derek. Well he is walking without even a stick now. Has Physio 3 times a week. Still got a limp but he says that he thinks that is more out of habit. He is trying to concentrate on trying not to limp. The Physio makes him walk in front of a mirror so he can see himself walking and try and correct his posture. He is going into he gym most nights and more swimming from now on. It is so easy to swim in the sea here so should be really good. You float with no effort. So onwards me thinks. He has NO pain at all which is the main thing. However, he can certainly be one !! He had a major stumble last night but hopefully no repercussions .... No quite ready for his Offshore Survival Course, but will be before Christmas ! EID is coming up soon and he gets 5 days off, so with the weekends either side a total of 9 days. Will get him in the sea most days then. Thanks for all your interest, thoughts ! and good wishes. XXXXX
