Update on Grandma is doing ok. She is done with most of the tests. Interpreting them will take a few days. She can talk briefly with people and talk about simple things. It quickly get to a point of confusion for her. She knows what we ask and cant put the word together to respond. It is hard on her. She has a slight weakness on her right side for strength and seeing. This was noticed during extensive tests. If you ask her to squeeze your hand it is normal. So physical therapy is needed but not much. It is the speech therapy and memory that will need to be worked on. They are trying to lower her blood pressure. She will remain there till she has that under control. Then she will go to a part of the hospital that works more on the rebuilding stuff. She said things will change as the picture of her situation unfolds. The nurse said that mom likes hearing from us but cant talk long or go in to much detail. She gets frustrated as she cant express herself well. Please keep her in your prayers.
