Update on Holly- the vet poorly lurcher in the vets! Holly has made it through the night, big sign of relief from us all. I have spoken with the vets this morning and they have said that she has had a little to eat and has had a brief walk outside and lots of cuddles. She knows that the vet and vet nurses are trying to help her and is being a star. Her full blood test is due back at 2pm and we will then be able to confirm whether it is poisoning, or whether it is the auto immune condition (SLE). The vet is currently leaning towards the auto immune disease. Thoughts are that it is a severe type which attacks the dogs organs, red blood cells and nervous system. You will be pleased to know that we have offered her rescue space with Hounds First Sighthound Rescue and the vets have accepted so she will be moving into one of our foster homes when she is able to leave the vets (if you are free to foster please email us). Thank you so much for your kind donations, the bill so far is now almost covered. We do not know what expense is ahead though so if you can spare £1 to help then it would be much appreciated.
