Update on Jane 4/1/14 This has been just an incredible day for Jane she had a very successful day in PT and was able to walk even longer today. When I arrived this afternoon she was asleep and the nurse woke her for meds and when she woke up I had her room decorated for spring. I made her an April calendar and had big colorful flowers on the wall- anything I could find to make a bare wall look colorful ( Deborah Martin Halbrooks you would be proud of the colors) and Spring like. She loved it!!! Now when she wakes up she has fun interesting things to look at! A little while after that I asked if she wanted to go outside on this beautiful perfect day, she said no first, then she said well I might could do that. So we got in the wheelchair and went outside Yes!!!!! She first sat under the porch area then all of a sudden she said, get me out in the sun. Yeah!!!! I took her out in the sun and wheeled her all over the place outside, near the blooming cherry trees, it was beautiful to see how the sunlight, fresh air, and change of scenery made her feel happy. This is the first time she has been outside in 10 Weeks, tomorrow will be 10 weeks since her surgery. What a wonderful day- 45 minutes in the Sunshine. When we returned inside she had dinner sitting in her wheelchair and then Pastor Trammell came to visit and she sat up and listened, talked and had a wonderful time for an hour or more. I said all that to tell you she sat up for 2 1/2 hours with me. After that Mitzi arrived with Timothy and David for a visit so it was probably even longer. She is getting her strength back thank goodness. She is eating well and feeling better but today has been a blessed beautiful day with much progress. Doctor Lee and the therapist are advising that she continue on with all the therapy for at least another three weeks and at the end of that time they will re-evaluate to see if more is needed. For now she is progressing nicely. She still has a lot to work through but everyday she is getting better and better. She is 3 weeks seizure free today and they are dropping meds slowly but it is working and she is getting better. I could not have planned this day better in a storybook. Amazing how God knows exactly what you need at just the right time. Im so happy for this wonderful day for my sister. Again Mamas prayers and all of your prayers are bringing Jane through this, and we know its only by Gods Mercy and Love. Today was simply perfect and my heart overflows. God is Good today and everyday. Thank you God for letting the Sonshine on Jane today!! I love you Jesus.
