Update on Marge: Her trach was blocked. She could not breathe, collapsed, and was without oxygen for at least 15 minutes or so. Her heart stopped, but the paramedics were able to remove the blockage and get her heart beating again. Right now, the hospital has cooled her body to 90 degrees to help preserve brain function. They are telling us it will be a 24 hour period in this condition, one of careful observation, before they know anything else. I was able to be with her, read her the Psalms, and petition with and beside her for our gracious Gods will to be done. She is Gods baptized child. He loves her. The cross of Jesus Christ stands before us as the Gospel proclamation of this glorious truth. By the power of the Holy Spirit in faith, Marge loves her Savior. No matter what happens, one thing is clear, Marge Cole is even now, safely resting in the arms of the Good Shepherd. This is our certainty and our hope!
