Update on Mark......Well as usual the surgery took way longer, but due to them finding another cancerous tumor on the previous scar from his colon resection last year. It did not show up on the pet scan, but the doctor was doing some exploratory surgery looking for signs of the disease elsewhere and found this one. They removed that tumor which caused a hernia like symptom so they put mesh in over it and sewed that part up. The incision from his liver surgery in January never healed properly and left a really thin spot that caused a slight hernia so they put mesh there also and sewed that back up. The doctor said Mark is doing to much too soon after surgery and will have to completely heal before getting back to normal. The spot on his lung will be watched and be taken care of a little bit later. Please pray for a full recovery without infection as there is a higher rate of chances of infection when they put in mesh. I guess I will have to sit on him to keep him down this time. LOL I will update sometime tomorrow and let you all know how he is doing. Thank you all for those prayers. We really need them when those tumors start hiding and not showing up on the PET scans.
