Update on Mr. Matthew ❤️ took him to see his pulmo doc today, because of reoccurring fever and cough. Sure enough he still heard something and heard the junky cough he has once in awhile. We discussed many things and have come up with a few ideas, but wont know with certainty unless he does a bronch scope. Hes calling his GI doc tomorrow morning to correlate doing the 2 scopes together next week. We arent sure if he aspirated a piece of food or gum that is now lodged in the lung or if hes aspirating food or saliva. His X-ray did still show a hazing which means the pneumonia has not cleared up! He does not want him to have any gum for the time being, which is a big deal considering how much he chews it for sensory. Also if it was gum he aspirated that will not be good and will have to have a different kind of scope with a team of docs and be admitted. Prayers appreciated that we come to the bottom of this and get it resolved. He had been doing great for many years in a row and now this. I love his doc and his approach. He wanted to make sure it wasnt a fluke thing before putting him under. Being put under especially while having pneumonia and having RTS, is high risk, but at this point we have no choice, because hes not clearing the pneumonia! Thanks again for all the support!!!
