Update on Shealyn Thomson..it is getting harder and harder to go home to the Mikes for a 24 hour span and back to Shea..I have only been home 4 times in 4 months and it tears me apart. I have wanted to get to the point of splitting the week, but I really do not have the trust like I did in Maine..my brother John and wife Linda made it back here to see Shea by noon...to give me a few extra hours to be at home. I got to the hospital around 3:00. They were just bathing her, just changing her into street clothes and just getting her up to the wheelchair!!! Had no mouthcare since I left! She never ate breakfast as they never picked up her order from the day before, PT/OT came as she was eating her lunch and said they were to busy to come back so they let it go for today!!! Really??? We have been here for 11 days now...with 5 out of those 11 days without rehab at all...even just stretching in bed? Nada!! I just want to be able to have the faith that she is well taken care of..as well as the rehab is getting done!! I am so glad Tuesday is coming soon as this is when Shea and I get to join rounds!!! I want this to turn around to an all positive and moving forward for Sheas benefit! I have the patience for healing but not for lacking of care and getting it done when it should have been!!! And I truly think I have proved that patience many a time!!! Shea, we are going to get this done! Do not lose your willingness or strength! You have done a remarkable job to get to this point and no matter how disappointing some days are..we will keep going! Tomorrow will be a strong and getting it done kinda day..I promise!!! Sleep tight, sweet dreams, we will move forward!!!
