Update on Tower Hamlets demo on Saturday 7th September 2013 As usual the Met Police have gone back on their agreement, no surprise there!!! The march has not been banned but it has had unfair restrictions put on it and these are that we cannot enter into Whitechapel Road. We are still allowed to muster in the same place, Queen Elizabeth Street and march over Tower Bridge as far as Aldgate High Street , the same place as the previous demo. Tommy & Kev have decided that these restrictions need to be challenged in the High Court so that a precedent is not set for future demos and we are at present in discussions with our Solicitor/Barrister to get this heard by Friday. We will still march regardless of the decision taken on Friday albeit even if it is only into Aldgate High Street but we are hoping that the Judges do reverse the decision and our march will go ahead along the full route previously agreed.
