Update on Typhoon Halong | Weather today August 2, 2014 The eye of Typhoon Halong was located at 1,440 km East of Central Luzon with a maximum sustained winds of 120 kph and gustiness up to 150 kph. TY Halong is slowly moving North Northwest. According to PAGASA Weather Forecaster Connie Dadivas, TY Halong is expected to enter Philippine Area of Responsibity (PAR) on Sunday evening and forecast not to hit any part of the country but this will intensify Southwest Monsoon habagat. Today, Southwest Monsoon is the dominant weather system affecting the country particularly Luzon. Metro Manila, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, regions of Ilocos, Cordillera and the provinces of Pampanga, Bulacan, Tarlac, Zambales and Bataan will experience occasional rains. While the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. Sunrise at 5:39 am, sunset at 6:25 pm. Good morning and have a great day!
