Update on bus & train services- The Metlink website metlink.org.nz is being updated regularly but please be aware that it’s slow due to the heavy demand for information this morning. Here’s the latest update on services: Trains: No Kapiti train services are running due to the closure of the North Island Main Trunk Line. Buses are starting to replace trains from Waikanae but there will be delays and services won’t be running to their normal schedule. There are limited train services (about half hourly) between Upper Hutt and Wellington but no train services between Petone and Wellington. Buses are replacing trains between Petone and Wellington but expect delays. Train services between Melling and Petone are cancelled until further notice. No Johnsonville trains services are running and there are no bus replacements. Please make alternative arrangements. Buses: No school buses running today Wellington City routes # 1, 2 and 3 are trying to run to normal timetables but delays are expected. There are no services on routes # 30, 32 or 4 services due to road closures on Wellington’s South Coast. There are no #20 services from Mt Victoria due to road closures at the top of Mt Victoria. Newlands and Johnsonville services on routes #52 and 54 are trying to run regularly but expect delays. All # 56, 57 and 58 services are cancelled until further notice. Harbour ferries: All services cancelled until further notice Wellington Cable Car: All services cancelled until further notice.
