Update on girls soccer from Mr Thoba: Match 4 vs Thomas More: The girls kicked off the day with a match against last years runners up Thomas More from Durban. We conceded two penalties and were 2-0 down in the first 20 minutes of the game. The team put on an outstanding performance in the second half with Mishka Lindoor pulling one back, Zandre Arnoldus leveled the scores and Daniella Patsalos secured a 3-2 victory when she converted from the penalty spot! Match 5 vs Linkside The girls cruised to a convincing 4-2 victory against PE rivals Linkside. Goals from Mishka Lindoor, Trystan Bain, Catherine Mukamuri and Daniella Patsalos secured our 5th win of the tournament. Match 6 vs Reddam We suffered our first loss of the tournament against Reddam who remain the only unbeaten team in the tournament conceding 4 goals without scoring. The score was most definitely not a true reflection of the game as the two teams are evenly matched, we just could not score. The girls have set themselves up for a second place finish in the tournament which will guaranteed with a victory in our last match of the tournament tomorrow morning. They have played with absolute passion, determination and are by far the team with the best attitude and spirit in the tournament. They will enjoy a well deserved sleep tonight ahead of their final match and 7th match tomorrow.
