Update on lost horses of Onion Creek flood. It has been a long sad day. Five horses and four people were found dead from the floodwaters today. Many horses are still missing. There is a community search party forming to ride out at 10am tomorrow (Friday) morning from Nuckolls Crossing and Greely Rds. off of Bluff Springs Rd. Please do what you can to help. We need good riders on steady mounts to search the surrounding areas to find the lost horses. Terrain is muddy and some steep embankments. We also need drivers with trucks and trailers. Please bring halters and lead ropes if you can. These people lost everything. We will also need dry pastures, paddocks, stalls, safe places to keep the found horses until things have dried up and fences can be replaced.
