Update on moms birthday! Moms birthday celebration today was Amazing! Phone calls, emails, text, even a few people dropped in to say hello. Each of you need to know how much that meant to mom. And making her smile certainly made me smile too! As I read to her what everyone sent she cried lots of tears. And those were sweet tears, tears of joy! Thanks for making her day super special! You guys are wonderful. Word regarding my brother-in-law, Jeff Hudsons mom, Lla Leet. Over the last few months Lla Leet has been having difficulty with her overall health. She has been through a lot and most recently she took a turn for the worse. Today the oncologist communicated that she has about two weeks to live assuming she can hang on that long. She is at Keever Solace Center awaiting her call from Heaven! Please keep my brother-in-law, Jeff, his wife and my sister Rebekah, Bob who is Lla Leets husband as well as the grand kids, Lacy, Lance, Lyndi and Landrey. This will be difficult for everyone. Moving on! Please keep me in your prayers as I head out tomorrow for Tabor City, NC which is only 25 minutes from North Myrtle Beach, SC. This coming Sunday I will be eating breakfast with the men of the church at 9:00 AM then speak to the youth in Sunday School at 9:45 AM followed by preaching in the morning service at Tabor City Baptist Church. A little history regarding Tabor City Baptist! This was my dads first church. Not far down the road my sisters and I were introduced to the world in Lumberton, NC at the hospital. Lumberton was the closest city with a hospital at that time. My first two years of life were spent in Tabor City while dad served as pastor. Ever since I was a boy my parents always bragged on Tabor City, the people, the community and how everyone was so loving towards them. After died retired from West Asheville Baptist he went back to Tabor City and served as their Interim Pastor from 2000 to 2001. This was the last time I spoke at the church. I do look forward to returning and spending time with everyone. After the morning service many of the friends of my family are feeding me lunch at the Todd House, a local restaurant. Cant wait to give the church a good report about mom and dad as well as my sisters and their families. It will be a sweet time of fellowship for sure. Please keep me in your prayers.
