** Update on the current system affecting East TN ** And yes, we could be under a ETSW filzzard (flurry blizzard) alert by tomorrow eve... Rain moved in much earlier than expected today. Model guidance started to pick up on that possibility during model runs last night. Rain showers will continue through tomorrow afternoon, becoming more intermittent as the afternoon progresses. Leftover moisture could turn into a few snow showers/flurries across our region by later Monday evening and continue through Tuesday morning (especially across the higher elevations). Snow accumulations are not anticipated for the Valley locations, however elevations 2500ft + could see a few inches. Up flow will ring out all available moisture as Arctic air dips into our region Monday night and lasts into our Wednesday before temps start to moderate slightly. Temperatures Tuesday will struggle to get out of the 20s across much of the area. (pretty phenomenal for Mid-November). Below: The current radar loop. 12z Depiction of the colder air arriving (Valid at 24hrs, 48hrs)
