Updates from the Cull Zone. Day 28. First and foremost wed like to say to the farmer who drives vehicle V725 LOC that threatening people will get you nowhere and does your argument no good at all. Next time, we will report you to the police. To the shooters who fired shots over in Pauntley whilst people were in close proximity to you, what you did was not only unlawful, but dangerous and petty. Moving on and the night has been pretty quiet again in a number of areas, despite what our first paragraph may make you think! The 2 aggressive incidents above are uncommon (although insults and abuse are pretty regular) as most shooters will simply turn away when they realise that people are guarding the setts they were heading for. Indeed, a number of vehicles have been spotted turning up to an area and leaving upon sight of sett-guards. So well done for everyone still out there in the zone - the likelihood is that youll be protecting the badgers near you purely by being there. Useful tip-offs keep coming in from locals within the area - keep them coming and well keep trying to protect the badgers (and your land) from the shooters. Thank you for showing your support and standing up against this cull - we know it can be hard to say no to something when your neighbours feel differently - although you may be surprised how many of you there are out there... Aside from a few minor incidents throughout the night, the majority of the zone and time has been calm and quiet (and a bit cold!) This has left us with time to look at information gathered over the last month and look into intel. received from locals and those on the ground and to make some plans. Keep up the good work everyone out there - it doesnt matter how much time or energy youve been able to put into this campaign as it all adds up. 2 weeks left - lets remember why were fighting, re-energise and finish this cull for good!
