Upon reaching Capernaum, Jesus and His disciples had to pay temple tax. Jesus told Peter to go to the sea with a hook and the 1st fish that would jump out of the water he was to open its mouth and find money to pay the tax (Matt 17:24-27). This is the only time a hook was used instead of nets. Since there was a need, Jesus wouldve created money & given it to Peter but He wanted to engage Peter in the process. Jesus knew how much money was in the mouth of the fish and the fish itself. At times we pray for God to do some things but He wants to engage us in the process of meeting our needs; & thats why we should at times tell God to lead us to the mouth of the fish or the fish itself just like Peter for our needs will be met there.
