REDEFINING THE POLITICAL AWARENESS & CONSCIOUSNESS OF THE POLITICAL WORKINGS & REALITIES OF KABBA BUNU IJUMU POLITICS: Political aspiration either genuine or not is a common thing that happens to Politicians every 4 years in Nigeria & any other place world over.It is indeed,a good thing for the generational development quest of a people like us,we must @ all times welcome aspiration of anybody or group of a body,it is however, very imperative for the electorate 2 have a common ideology & focused expectations from the political class,which is basically the ability for the elected person(s) to deliver to the people the much needed dividends of democracy. Taking a cursory & informed look @ the people of Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu,it will not be 2 hard for a progressive minded individual to identity the basic needs of our people.The late legend & prophet of all time,Fela Kuti encapsulated in one of his musical contraptions what I personally consider all the dare need of my people ie water,light,food & house. I dare to add unemployment & extreme poverty to these problems .If therefore,these are the essence of going to vote every four years ,then we may not need to go too far in argument to know who truly we need among the aforementioned names. Interestingly, we have in Hon. Tee Jay Yusuf a focused & outstanding Representative who has improved comfortably on all these needs of our people;We have a brand new Community Town Hall today in Kabba,after so many years of using the ancient Kabba Town Hall, we have a completed Skill Acquisition Centres in Okebukun,Iyara & OK EDA yo to be completed soon,we have a 60 seat Computer Centre in Ogidi Ijumu ,the first of its kind in that area. Three Days ago,history was made in Ayede Bunu,as solar street lights were installed by the quintessentially religious Tee Jay Yusuf. Has anyone noticed Kabba Town ship @ night?The major roads already have street lights for a long time,still the efforts of the humble young man. Do we also mention the over 40 graduates already employed in various Ministries, Departments & Agencies courtesy Tee Jay Yusuf? Or the 5 million naira he gave to market women for them to organize a revolving loan scheme amongst themselves? Is it the various youth empowerment we will talk about?Do we also talk of the over 20 hand pump boreholes & 6 motorized boreholes he has completed in the last 2 years?Worthy of mentioning is the Back To School Initiative for Secondary School Students that have earned over 50 of them scholarship? My dear people, I can tell you that every of the names mentioned for the Kabba/Bunu /Ijumu position are well qualified persons in their own right & can obviously represent us too but do we replace a shining light just for the sake of tradition when a seating Senator is attempting to do his 3rd term after collecting over 2 billion naira in our names without anything to show for it? I am a PDP man to the core & most likely to remain same for years to come but I dont believe I must support every body my party brings.I support only based on antecedence. For me,the assignment to return Tee Jay Yusuf back to the Green Dome should be a responsibility for everybody that likes good governance & cherish the development of our people, no matter, the political affiliation. That is why I continue to have tremendous respect for the likes of Engr. Olushola Olumoroti,who will take his time to commend Hon.Tee Jay Yusuf, inspite of his political leaning. For the umpteenth time,this project must not die an untimely death & it must be collective, so that our collective dreams for a better Owe land can be a reality. GOD BLESS OWELAND!
