Urdu poetic Translation Of An English Poem of Dr. Mustafa Kamal Sherwani By Ahmad Ali Barqi Azmi ********************************************** Maghmoom dil se likhta hoon tum ko azeez dost Milne se pahle tum se kahin ka raha na main FaujoN ne aa ke dhaye woh zulm o sitam teri Ab chalne phirne se bhi main mazoor ho gaya Net ke waseele se huye hum jab se aashna Hum dekhte the tab se faqat dosti ke khwab Tere bamoN ne kuchh bhi na choda mere liye Main aaj aspatal se lauta baghair pair Murda the waledain khandar ho gaya tha ghar Ab zer e aasmaan hooN mera kuchh nahiN bacha Sheeraza e hayat sanwaroN main kis tarah Lekin main sochta hooN tere mail dekh kar Insaniyat abhi bhi hai tere watan meiN kuchh Teri duaeiN deti hai ab mujh ko hausala In wahshiyoN se tum ko bachaye sada khuda Deti haiN hausala mujhe teri tasalliyaaN Fazl e Khuda o qooat e baazoo se apne main Jari rakhoon ga koshisheiN apni yeh ta hayat Main phir se apni azmat e rafta ko pa sakoon From Gaza writes a Child to his Israeli Friend (January,28,2009 ) ( From my poetry book Voice of Heart ) ************ ********* ********* ********* ****** I write with a painful heart, Oh my dear friend!, I have been wrecked before we could meet; Your forces brought an unprecedented havoc, Now I am unable even to walk on my feet. Since the time, we became friends on the net, To work for mutual love, were our dreams; Your bombs have deprived me of everything, Our hopes are shattered by wails and screams. Today I came from the hospital without my legs, To see the debris of my house and parents dead; Staying under the sky, with none of mine left, What to say? how to pick up the lifes thread.? But in your countless mails about my welfare, I still find some traces of humanity in your land; They give me delight, when you prayed for me, May God save you from Israels brutal hand; Your solemn words revived my zest and zeal, With faith in the Divine , and strength of arm; I shall make ceaseless efforts till my last breath, For my country to regain its glory and charm.
