Urgent Full time Vacancy - Rotogravure Press Artist Job Specification: A leading company in the packaging industry is seeking an excellent candidate who is able to ensure high quality and production excellence in a fast paced environment. The ideal candidates for this opening will have experience in a packaging reprographics environment who can hit the ground running with his knowledge of print processes (examples: lithography, flexography, rotogravure, etc.).The applicant must be with the ability to monitor the process, materials and surroundings. Attention to details is imperative and must be able to maintain a good relationship with fellow workers. Duties & Responsibilities: - Review artwork with customers and insure that it is suitable for printing. - Assist in color separation and optimising number of colors per artwork. - Review job proofs received from cylinders providers to digital files to insure quality control. - Inspect films in preparation of conventional cylinder making. - Quality control all work performed following the departments Standard Operating Procedures. - Review job ticket instructions to determine requirements of job production. - Modify existing package designs. - Ability to produce error-free work. - Take existing digital art and making it prepress ready to image. - Proof experience. - May perform a variety of tasks within the department. - May communicate with the customer to reach the best quality required. Job requirements: - Graduate of Fine Arts or Applied Arts. - 4-5 years of experience. - Good knowledge of Flexible-packaging, and Rotogravure printing. - Proficient in prepress software including but not limited to: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Acrobat, Freehand and CorelDraw. - Ability to use MS Office. - Proficient in working on MAC desktop. - An eye for detail and strong communication skills is a must - Excellent command of Arabic & English languages, French is a plus. - Must have the ability to match and read/analyse colour. - Customer service mindset: passionate about servicing the client, the team and other Phototype employees and groups. - Must be able to meet deadlines within a production orientated environment - Must be able to work under pressure and prioritise tasks.
