Used to be I took bs abt teaching my girls what to do in case of terrorist attacks, flooding or twisted psychos shooting a mall up. Unfortunately, now some of those same peeps ask for advice. Being prepared, whilst building a spiritual life is why some people survive disaster and some dont. Theres an excellent book by NY Times Reporter Amanda Ripley whom I interviewed when I had my radio show on CBS called The Unthinkable that I would strongly urge any parent to read. When its my time to go I expect itll be because the big Goddess herself gives me a buzz and I did my best to resist her siren and not because Im unprepared or stuck my head in the sand. Call me grim but we have a lot more to accomplish before the Grim Reaper comes and I aint going out without a fight
