Using social media & IM (instant message) platforms such as WhatsApp to send indirect messages to certain people via status updates is the weakest thing you can do for yourself. For example, there is nothing cute about posting cryptic status updates which are directed at your ex when you ought to send them directly where they belong, in the privacy in which they belong, with the authority of someone who is strong & bold enough to confront you directly, & not indirectly via some measly status update for the world to see. This is why relationships dont work these days. Because people post their feelings as status updates instead of telling them to the people who matter. And those same people look at their exs or lovers profiles & assume they dont care or theyre not in pain just because they havent taken to crying out loud on social media for everyone to see. You have real friends so you dont have to cry on your virtual Facebook friends shoulders for matters which are personal! Its not a good look at all so if you do this I highly suggest you take notes & stop it. Your ex isnt going to be checking for someone who doesnt have the balls to man up & confront them directly, especially if all the while youre using a public forum to convey your feelings. Notcute
