Usually when I ride a taxi I dont listen to the rants of drivers. But fate lead me to a taxi driver whose concern was particularly exemptionan since he was talking about the latest controversy on prisoners getting so much privilege. Needless to say, he was comparing his life with these people. I told him that we are only seeing a fascade of their lives. If these people are truly guilty, then jealousy should not be our correct reaction. We may not witness it but there is a vacuum in their life which will never be filled. Justice always comes. We may not know the when and how. They could get sick and their money couldnt save them. They search happiness through material wealth, eating the most expensive food but their hunger will never be filled. Their ideology is comparable to that of Egyptian pharaohs who played like gods. Yet will never achieved that state. Unless and until they realize that there is more to life then they could never be happy. Hence, at the end they starve to death.
