The Villisca Ax Murders occurred during the night of June 9–10, 1912 in the southwestern Iowa town of Villisca. The six members of the Moore family and two house guests were found bludgeoned in the Moore residence. All eight victims, including six children, had severe head wounds from an axe. A lengthy investigation yielded several suspects, one of which was tried twice and acquitted. The crime remains unsolved. Family and Visitors Killed - All Meet Their Deaths in Bed, Murderer Makes His Escape - Robbery Was Not Committed; Motive for Crime is Unknown Villisca, Iowa, June 10, 1912 -- Joseph Moore, a leading Villisca business man, his wife and four children and two visitors were found murdered in their beds today at the Moore home. Their heads had been crushed and a blood-stained ax was found in the house. The dead: People hear footsteps,a crying woman,moaning in pain,shadows in that house.You can hear kids voice in their bedroom. Tours have been cut short by childrens voices, falling lamps, moving ladders and flying objects. Psychics have confirmed the presence of spirits dwelling in the home and many have actually communicated with them, and skeptics have left believers No body knows who killed them..and its believed that their spirits are still trapped in that house,and the Evil spirit who killed them,controls them...and they are still under his Axe.
