For theft and killing of pets, acquiring animals for the purpose of killing them and to get sodium pentobarbital, a controlled substance used to poison animals. Since late 1990s PETA has killed over 30,000 animals, including kittens and puppies, many in a pickup van before ever reaching the shelter and thrown into dumpsters.
