VACANCY Position: Human Resource Officer Closing date for submissions: 23rd October (1200hrs) Applications are invited from suitably qualified hardworking candidates for the position of A Human Resource Officer to develop, advise on and implement policies relating to the effective development of personnel within BAM Group Companies. The functions of this candidate, who should be ready to start work by November 2013, will include among others: •developing and implementing policies on areas such as performance management, equal opportunities, as well as staff welfare amongst the diverse functions in this portfolio; •recruiting staff – that is developing job descriptions and person specifications, preparing job adverts, checking application forms, shortlisting, interviewing and selecting candidates; •preparing and evaluating staff performance through appropriate monitoring tools •advising on pay and other remuneration issues, including promotion and benefits; •undertaking regular salary reviews; •administering payroll and maintaining employee records; assisting line supervisors/managers and administrators to understand and implement policies and procedures; •liaising with a wide range of people involved in policy areas such as staff performance and health and safety; •interpreting and advising on national legislations; •dealing with grievances and implementing disciplinary procedures; •planning, and sometimes delivering, training, including inductions for staff; •analyzing training needs in conjunction with BAM Group companies departmental managers/supervisors •promoting equality and diversity as part of the culture of BAM Group; MANDATORY Requirements: -At least a diploma in Human Resource Management -At least 2 years work experience in a versatile organization -Good command of the English Language (oral, presentation and writing) Applications (with 2 references and certified copies of educational certificates) must be submitted physically to BAM Consultancy office (Metcash building) or emailed to [email protected] on or before 12.00 noon on Wednesday 23rd October 2013.
