VACANCY for Working pupil / Apprentice 2014. Fir Tree Stud, near Howden, East Yorks, can offer the opportunity for an enthusiastic person to train on the job for a professional equine qualification whilst still earning. The successful applicant can choose to join the national apprenticeship scheme through Bishop Burton College (Level 2/3 Diploma), or train for BHS qualifications with us. FTS is a friendly working environment where there will be support and enthusiasm for any person who wishes to achieve success. Employment conditions will depend on which route the successful applicant chooses. Duties will include, general yard duties, full care, handling, competition grooming, equine behaviour, and ground work skills. Ridden training is available for a suitable applicant. This is a challenging position on a busy livery and training yard which will require dedication and enthusiasm from the right candidate. Candidates will need own transport as no living is available.
