VC Visits Developmental Projects August 29, 2013 at 10:12 AM Prof Dr. Parveen Shah Vice Chancellor Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur paid a visit of the on going developmental work of various projects i. e Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Chair, Institute of Education and Indoor Sports Complex. On the occasion, talking to the Engineering Wing, Dr. Parveen Shah said that with the establishment of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Chair at Campus it will initiate the research on the life, work and contribution of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto towards democracy, women rights, human rights and her foreign policy. Moreover, we will also start M. Phil and PhD program at the Chair. Dr. Shah said that we are committed to provide the best and latest facilities regarding the sports to our students. The establishment of Indoor Spots Complex is its evidence. The Indoor Sports Complex She said that physical activities are vital for students. Vice Chancellor also visited the on going development work of the building of Institute of Education funded by USAID. Dr. Parveen Shah felt her entire satisfaction over the pace of work of the three mega development projects at the campus and also directed the Engineering Wing to expedite the remaining work in stipulated time so the buildings would be operational for the purpose. Mr. Imdad Ali Sial Project Director (Works) briefed about the cost of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Chair is Rs. 40.8 million while the cost of Indoor Spots Complex is 37.5 million. Prof Dr. Ghulam Ali Mallah Director Planning & Development, Registrar Syed Abdul Ghaffar Shah Rashdi, Prof Dr. Taj Mohammad Lashari Media Coordinator, Mr. Imdad Ali Sial Project Director (Works) and Mr. Izhar Shaikh Project Director (PMU) also were present during the visit.
