VERSE OF THE DAY: For my sighing my food and my cries are poured out like water What I fear is what happens to me, what I fear is what affects me Job 3.: 24-25 .Avez you ever suffered from depression? have you been forced to take on anti-anxiety prescription? Do you know that in German-speaking Switzerland, depression is endemic? I learned by listening to a interressante strong preaching my colleague Karl-speaking Stambach suicide caused by depression. one was a failed attempt, the other was horribly consommé.Je also remember a colleague who, faced with a large church confided to me: Carlos, sometimes I want to die ... It is a depression that handcuff our courage and squeezed our will is terrible, uncontrollable totally negative, hopeless on the horizon, irrational, and in the words of Job: For my sighing my food and my cries are poured out like water. But there is a God ... When I am overwhelmed by the circumstances of life and feel unable to move forward. When I feel discouraged. When I do not see any light at the end of the tunnel. When my life seems too difficult. When I want to die. When the doctors told me that I suffer from depression, I feel sick and do not know how to get out. Unfortunately, depression is the illness to the fashion of the day. Millions of people suffer, particularly in developed societies, and, surprisingly, also in the Church. We must never forget that many men of God have suffered from this deficiency of the soul that is the discouragement Job, in his ordeal, Abraham, after his victory over the kings of the plain; Joseph, when he was sold by his brothers; Joshua when he had to succeed Moses and begin the conquest; Saul, when he learned that God had removed; David, when he fled the royal persecution culminating in the killing; Elijah when he was threatened by Queen Jézabelet he wanted to die; Jeremiah, John the Baptist, Peter and many other more. Yes, its true, depression also affects the faithful children of God at one time or another in their lives. God knows the fragility of each of them and know how far they can withstand the emotional crises. Immersed in any situation whatsoever, we must all remember that we can approach with rone insurance of grace to obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need be (Heb 4: 16)
