VERY RARE CASE OF INTERNAL RESORPTION WITHOUT PULPECTOMY This 8 - TopicsExpress

VERY RARE CASE OF INTERNAL RESORPTION WITHOUT PULPECTOMY This 8 year old peadiatric patient reported to Dr. Rahuls Dentaville with Extraoral and Intraoral swelling in mandibular right posterior region. IOPA showed internal resorption in Mesial and Distal root. The CBCT was taken to check for any perforation. The CBCT revealed slight perforating internal root resorption in the cervical portion of distal root. Considering patients age and as there is no external root resorption visible I want to go for conservative approach. However as reported in some of the literature in deciduous molars far from their shedding time, partial/total pulpectomy can be an alternative approach instead of extraction. In such cases, the affected root can be treated by partial pulpectomy up to the level of resorption. I am planning to treat this patient by Partial Pulpectomy up to the level of resorption. Looking forward to your suggestions on the treatment plan.
