I recently went to the store and ran into folks from church. Older couple, grandparent but not yet great grand parent age range. Nice people. They asked where all the kids were. I said they were at home. Wow, you found a babysitter that would take on all four? Me, No, I have a teenager that can handle it for several hours. Them, Really, you trust him THAT much? I really didnt know what to say. Is it commonplace to assume all teen angers are a lost cause and cant be trusted with a few hours of babysitting? Also- I would have thought that their generation was raised when it was expected teenagers were responsible and more was expected of them. Anyway- that weird exchange has been bouncing around in my head for a while.
