#VIC #BushFire #Corp Watch and Act Issued For: Bonang, Cabanandra, Deddick Valley, Dellicknora, Tubbut Fire Origin: 20 NW GOONGERAH Incident Name: GOONGERAH-DEDDICK TRAIL Issued: 04/02/14 12:31 AM This is a Watch and Act message issued by Country Fire Authority for Bonang, Cabanandra, Deddick Valley, Dellicknora, Tubbut. There are three significant bushfires burning in the Snowy River National Park near the Deddick Trail area. These fires are not yet under control. Fire and weather conditions are being monitored overnight. A south westerly wind change has reached the area, which may cause the fires to travel in a northerly direction towards Bonang and Deddick Valley. Residents can expect increased fire and smoke activity before and after the change. Dont wait, leaving now is the safest option - conditions may change and get worse very quickly. Emergency Services may not be able to help you if you decide to stay. Travel to: - The Relief Centre at the Delegate Country Club, open between 8:00am and 8:00pm. - The home of family or friends that is away from the warning area. When driving, slow down and turn on your headlights; smoke will make it difficult to see. People who have been affected in the Gippsland area are encouraged to register with the Red Cross online (redcross.org.au) or in person at a relief centre. Road Closure: Bonang Road is closed to through traffic; Yalmy Road and Pinnak Road are closed. Park Closures: Snowy River National Park east of the Snowy River; Errinundra National Park; and Lind National Park. The next update is expected by 04/02/14 8:00 AM or as the situation changes. Safety Information: Remember to take your prescriptions and medication, photo ID, bottles of water, your mobile phone and charger and consider what you will do with your pets. If you have time, check your neighbours to see if they are monitoring conditions. Contact a family member or friend to tell them what you plan to do. Stay Informed: Via cfa.vic.gov.au.
