Randolph St. Just blocks away from Vics! @ 5:45pm Dr. Dogs unique version of indie rock is strongly influenced by bands of the 1960s, such as The Beatles and The Beach Boys, as well as ’70s and ’90s rock, with a hint of New Orleans music. A great energetic jam band to catch live. Eric Slick began touring at the age of 18 with the Frank Zappa tribute band Project/Object that included Zappa alumni such as Ike Willis, Ed Mann, Napoleon Murphy Brock, Mike Keneally, Denny Walley, and Bobby Martin. On the last day of his first Project/Object tour, Eric received a call from ex-Zappa/King Crimson member Adrian Belew asking him to join his new trio. Eric then toured with both bands simultaneously between 2006 and 2009 until leaving to join Dr. Dog. Rightfully so, Eric was nominated in 2012s Modern Drummer Magazines Readers Poll in the Best Up & Coming Drummer category. Hes one of those gifted drummers who can virtually play it all using only a 4 piece kit, a single pedal, a pair of hats, a crash, and a ride. His drumming is uncanny!
