VICTORY: Congress passed a bill that removes all funding for federal interference in states where medical marijuana is legal. This means no more Federal spending on investigations, raids, prosecutions or incarceration. War on Drug POWs will be able to petition for their release from federal prison. Mississippi has ballot initiative #48 that would mean PEACE FOR PATIENTS who want to medicate with cannabis. The Federal government has a patent on cannabis because of its medicinal qualities, and yet wrongly represent the plant as a schedule one drug: of no medicinal value. While they change that scheduling, Mississippians must work QUICKLY to gather signatures from registered voters by August 4th 2015 so that we can legalize and decriminalize cannabis and allow peace for patients who want to medicate.
