President Koroma in his address, announced that the isolation of Kailahun and Kenema has also been extended to Port Loko, Bombali and Moyamba districts with immediate effect. He further stated specific chiefdoms from which residents will not be allowed to leave until further notice. These chiefdoms are Marampa, Buya Romende, Maforki, Koya, Masimera, BKM; all in Port Loko as well as Bombali Sebora, Makari Gbanti, Gbendembu Gowahun, Mapaki Masabo; all in Bombali and Fakunya, Bumpeh and Lower Banta chiefdoms; all in Moyamba. The Commander-in-Chief also said hot spots in Western Area, Pujehun, Tonkolili and Kambia will also be isolated with immediate effect. The President hailed Sierra Leoneans for once again demonstrating their ability to rise up in the interest of their country. He cited impressive efforts of thousands of health workers, volunteers, journalists, musicians, religious leaders and security forces during the widely acclaimed Ose-to-Ose three days campaign. He however acknowledged the campaign also highlighted areas of greater challenges including the need to build more treatment centers and improve on response times. [especially of burial teams].
