VIDEO EDITORS I have a snowboarding video to edit but am having issues. Its 6 days worth of footage, some of the days there are two cameras worth. There are seven people featured and I would ideally like to extract the bits of footage from the large source videos, grouping the extracts into collections of the different people, then I can use these groups of extracts later when creating the final edit. I have Windows Movie Maker and Lightworks on my PC and iMovie on my macbook pro. I could get the job done in WMM but it randomly doesnt play some of the source videos when I drag them in. I cant see any reason why this is happening but this rules WMM out. Lightworks seems great because I can play through the source footage and extract the footage of different people into different edits. Essentially having an edit I for each person within the same project. Unfortunately it randomly crashes all the time, too often to really work with it (its free software so not cracked or anything, RAM is maxing about 75% but I cant see that being a problem? GPU isnt really being touched at the times it crashes so the fact its not a great one shouldnt matter) I am tempted to put it all on the macbook and attempt to do it in iMovie but Im struggling to visualise how I would do this easily. I tend to opt for windows movie maker when I can. I dont want to buy any software at the moment as I know it can be done with what I have. Any advice would be appreciated, Thanks
