VIDEO OF THE DAY: The Feast And The Famine by Foo Fighters featuring Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins With the release of the latest Foo Fighters album today, we thought it apropos to post this, the second single from Sonic Highways. The Feast And The Famine is inspired by the iconic Washington D.C. hardcore punk scene, with the band having traveled to eight different U.S cities to record each song on the album. The song was recorded at Inner Ear Studio in Arlington County, Virginia, alongside Washington, D.C. punk band, Bad Brains, who also make an appearance in the video. On October 17th, we were fortunate enough to attend a very intimate Foo Fighters show at The Cubby Bear in Chicago. Dave Grohl, Taylor Hawkins, Nate Mendel, Chris Shiflett and Pat Smear took the stage immediately following a screening of the premiere episode of their new documentary series on HBO, Foo Fighters: Sonic Highways. A truly memorable evening! The group is scheduled to return to Chicago on August 29, 2015 to perform right across the street from The Cubby Bear at the historic Wrigley Field and will be joined by Cheap Trick, Naked Raygun, and Urge Overkill. As soon as tickets for this concert went on sale, the show sold out within a matter of minutes. Earlier this year, Dave Grohl was voted one of The 50 Greatest Drummers of All Time by the readers of Modern Drummer Magazine.
