VISION FOR NAPIER Napier is a wonderful vibrant place to live and socialise with sport and recreational amenities amongst the best. My vision for the city is to keep improving Council services providing the cost is affordable and relates to the number paying rates. Capital investment by previous Councils has been less than ideal but I sense the current Council will take better care of Council revenue. I am confident my business experience can contribute to careful and responsible decisions. My vision for Napier is job growth so any age, who want to work, can work. Employment opportunities will follow if Council eases the path for small business and ensures costs are less, or at least compare, with other areas of NZ. The city will prosper if we can encourage new residents to bring family wealth to Napier and current residents return investments created in the region. These funds would help the City grow and maybe good workers and entrepreneurs will stay or return. My vision for the community is improved safety so residents are secure around the city and in their homes. Council can only do so much to occupy idle youth who have to rely on parents for preparation for work and guidance to participate in at least one team sport. Council could assist by investing in quality video surveillance which reduces criminal behaviour. Here is our Ted again. How many cat lovers know if their pet is right or left handed? The clip includes unsolicited promotion which has been a great boost.
