VISIONS Joel 2:28 read “And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:” Visions have been a way the Lord always led even from the inception and it is a sign of the Spirit of God on mankind. Now the Lord promised to pour out His Spirit upon all flesh as soon as the Vail of the temple is rent into two (In the Old Testament period not just anybody could have access to God but as soon as Christ died on the cross, the way to God has been open to all men that can believe in Christ). One of the signs of the Spirit of God is seeing visions because it is a sign of communication. Visions can be more assuring way for some of us but to be candid with you I have a feeling that God wants to lead us on other ways than Visions because it could easily be manipulated. It is expedient for us to know also that the best way the Lord will speak to us is that which we would understand and He will never give to us what will reduce our Faith in Him. If God leads you through Vision give thanks to him and make the most opportunity of it in a good way but if not do not seek Vision or you would get something else. It will not be complete if I don’t tell you that you might see a Vision of what has happened, what is happening or what will happen. It might be a direction, a warning, a go ahead sign, an assurance but whichever way the Lord is never out to scare or entertain you but to comfort, edify and exhort, So beware of what you see There are five Categories of Vision 1. The inward Vision 2. The Trance 3. The Open Vision 4. The Night Vision or Dream 5. The False Vision The Inward Vision: As we talked about Inward witness and Inward voice coming from your spiritual feelings and spiritual mouth respectively so also do you have spiritual eyes and as much as you are more sensitive to your Spirit man you are bound to be seeing something in your Spirit. Mostly when people say they have seen Visions it’s because of what they had seen inside. I would say this is one of the most prominent kinds of Vision because God wants us to be more sensitive to our Spirit man. There are times you have seen something or had a picture of something on the inside. That’s inward vision. I’m not talking about you conjuring things up based on what you have been thinking or what you fear or what you want to see but mostly it comes up quite unexpectedly. For instance there was a day I was praying with someone, well I never knew her from Adam but I suddenly saw in my Spirit two crafted idols standing round about her and immediately they disappeared. Then I heard the prayer she would pray but having the experience for the first time, how will I tell her and how will I feel if it a lie? Those were the thoughts running through my mind but I felt the urge to tell her becoming stronger and stronger. So I summoned courage to tell her what I saw and to my uttermost surprise she affirmed that her neighbors use it in the house for fetish means (I was happy in my Spirit that I could see vision) and I gave the rest of the instruction, I was not to know the rest though because the owner of the work just wanted me to recognize it I suppose. Sometimes God gives the Vision and give the interpretation later and sometimes we are just to act out what we see and let God do the rest TO BE CONTINUED. . .
