VISIT FLORIDA Partners Make Florida Camping Month a Big Success While for many the month of October may bring to mind images of pumpkins, ghosts, ghouls and vampires, VISIT FLORIDA is excited to be celebrating “Florida Camping Month.” To promote this special event, the I-10, I-75, I-95 and US-231 Official Florida Welcome Centers – managed and operated by VISIT FLORIDA – are taking a creative approach by setting up camping displays in the lobby of each of their facilities. The interactive displays are a great way for visitors to have a seat and “camp out” while learning more about the great camping opportunities available in the Sunshine State. Through the partnership with the Florida Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds, you can pick up the official Florida Camping & RV Directory at any of our Florida Welcome Centers. You can even make a reservation at the information desk to stay at one of Florida arvcs RV Parks or Campgrounds. As an invaluable resource for visitors to the Sunshine State, the knowledgeable and helpful staff at Florida’s Official Welcome Centers provide a wealth of information to millions of Florida visitors each year. In addition to offering detailed travel planning advice, the centers also provide maps, brochures and even a free glass of Florida citrus juice! Dont forget to stop at a Florida Welcome Center as you travel to our Sunshine State this October as we celebrate Florida Camping Month.
