VISITOR SERVICE ASSISTANT: RETAIL & INTERPRETATION Revelstoke Heritage Railway Society Salary: $12.00/Hourly Full-Time, Student Position JOB LOCATION: 719 Track Street West Revelstoke, British Columbia JOB DESCRIPTION: Revelstoke Railway Museum Visitor Services Assistant: Retail & Interpretation The Revelstoke Railway Museum seeks an energetic summer student for the position of Visitor Services Assistant: Retail & Interpretation. This 16 week position, which runs from May 13 to August 30, will provide a practical, hands-on learning experience for a student in front line visitor services including admissions, retail sales, museum interpretation and tours. The ideal candidate will have previous sales, merchandising, and cash handling experience, and enjoy working with the public. Previous retail sales and tourism experience is an asset. The hourly rate for this position is $12.00 plus 4% vacation pay. The successful candidate must be available to work weekends, statutory holidays and some evenings. Candidates for these positions must currently be full-time students (Sept 2013 to April 2013) and returning to full-time studies in the fall of 2014. They must be between the ages of 16 and 30 and legally entitled to work in Canada. All positions and start dates are dependant on approved funding from Federal Government grants.
