VOLUNTEER POSITION AVAILABLE No Shark Cull is a movement of people, operating in three Australian states and within South Africa, focussed on the removal of drum lines and shark nets in our oceans. Our brand is a call to arms; for people to protect our oceans and to recongise that for healthy oceans, we need sharks in our marine environment. Fortunately, we have a kick-ass designer (who needs a much deserved rest and therefore will be taking on more of a Directors role) who has helped bring our concepts and ideas to life, in a way that embraces the community - but we now have an opportunity for a volunteer Graphic Designer to join the No Shark Cull team and play an active role in our brands success. Reporting to our Kick-Ass Designer/Director, you will be designing for a broad range of mediums and will need to be a good all-rounder (print, digital) with a keen eye for detail and pride in the finished product. The role will suit a designer who thrives on the challenges of a work environment which is sporadic, with tight deadlines at times and then quiet lulls at other times Experience in graphic design is required as well as a genuine passion for all facets of design. A passion for marine conservation will work in your favour too! RESPONSIBILITIES: Campaign and marketing materials - posters, flyers, brochures, signage etc Promotional emails, Facebook content & other digital assets Misc local area marketing collateral Other aspects of the role include: Managing & prioritising the design workflow Preparing communication documents to support campaign Assistance in the maintenance of the graphics assets & files REQUIRED SKILLS / ATTRIBUTES: Excellent MAC skills & expertise in Adobe Indesign, Illustrator & Photoshop Experience in a professional design environment or similar in-house position An energetic, organised & self-motivated designer with attention to detail & an ability to work across multiple projects with tight deadlines (not a job for 9 to 5 mentality) WE WILL OFFER YOU: Fantastic opportunity to work on exciting projects & progress your design career with a growing national company that has a fun, supportive culture If this sounds like you and you have a portfolio that demonstrates outstanding design skills then we want to hear from you!
