VOTE TODAY - 6:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. Today is Election Day – a critically important one for our City. Your vote matters more than ever. I want to make sure you have a voice on our City Council – and I need your vote! We can vote today for open, responsible government. Special interests are working for more power in our City. We need to make sure we vote in greater numbers. I have received endorsements from The Daily Reflector, The Greenville Guardian, and the Cypress Group of the Sierra Club. I also received the endorsement of Common Ground Greenville, dedicated to more responsive government. As your representative, I have fought for our neighborhoods, for our quality of life, for good jobs with benefits, for parks, and for greenways. When the Town Common was threatened with development, I stood up to keep it as a public park. I spoke out against special interests who want more rental homes in our university neighborhood. When other members of council questioned a nearly million-dollar federal grant for a new greenway, I spoke up for accepting it. Now our new greenway is under construction going west to the hospital. Together, we have worked to make our City a welcoming, inviting place for new residents, for new businesses, for research, and for growth.
