(VOV) – Customs officials at Noi Bai International Airport recently thwarted a passenger’s bid to smuggle more than 6.5kg of heroin hidden in luggage into Vietnam. Two suspects arrested transporting heroin from Laos Leaders send condolences over death of Cuban heroine Liquid heroin seized by HCM City customs Customs inspectors noticed some lumpiness in luggage belonging to Dinh Dac Khanh when making a routine check for contraband of Flight VN593 from Hong Kong to Hanoi on August 10. Upon further investigation, they found 12 cans containing yellow powder tucked away in Khanh’s suitcases. A quick test indicated that 6 cans tested positive for 1.984kg of the synthetic drug (AST) and 8 cans for 4.572kg of cocaine. All of the contraband along with Dinh Dac Khanh were handed over to the Hanoi Police Department on August 11 for further investigation.
