VW people- Has anyone had problems with vacuum leaks with the dual port intake? When I got my car, it had been dead 13 years. The intake boot on the drivers side had been smeared with tons of permatex. Engine needed rebuilding, I rebuilt it. Runs great, but wont idle after it warms up. Vacuum leak at that same boot. When I put the intake back together, it wouldnt line up with the new boots right. If you got one side in right, the other side wouldnt line up right. I ended up doing the same thing as the last guy, smearing tons of permatex in and around the boot, but it still has a vacuum leak. Any advice?
