Vacancies available for the following positions (working with government agencies): Deskside/Helpdesk Service Engineers: Duties & Responsibility Deskside Service Engineer: a) Perform installation, un-installation, support, troubleshooting, upgrade and customisation of operating systems, drivers, patches, application software required for different type of computers and peripherals. b) Conduct configuration and apply updates on different type of computers and peripherals. c) Provide support for Email and other standard and/or client applications. d) Perform new users account setup in computers. e) Perform Asset Management of all computers and peripherals as well as Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software. This includes updating and maintaining of asset records and tracking of asset movements for deployment, loan or sent for repair. Helpdesk Service Engineer: a) Perform basic troubleshooting support over the phone/email on technical issues related to desktop, network or other hardware/device issues. b) Logging and update of issues, and follow up till closure. c) Provide technical advice on simple functional features on hardware/software peripherals over phone/email. d) Escalate and/or dispatch Deskside Service Engineers on-site to resolve technical issues. Qualification and Required Competencies: § Singapore Citizen preferred (have a minimum security clearance of CAT2B). § At least an NITEC in Information Technology or related qualification and above. § Relevant experience in IT field technical support is an advantage § Understanding of desktop, laptop and printer and TCP/IP networking preferred. § Good interpersonal and communication skills (in English) Senior Desk-side Engineers Duties & Responsibility a) Perform installation, un-installation, support, troubleshooting, upgrade and customisation of operating systems, drivers, patches, application software required for different type of computers and peripherals. b) Conduct configuration of the broadband devices that include ADSL modem, 3G Mobile Router/USB modem, wireless router, etc. using the built-in interface. c) Conduct connectivity test to ascertain that broadband connection is working fine and users are able to connect to it. d) Conduct cabling connectivity test to ascertain if the network cable or network point is faulty. e) Perform regular update of patches and anti-virus signatures for the Clients computers and ensure that they comply with the Clients IT Security requirements. f) Provide support for Secure Email 2 (SE2) users and perform SE2 Email plug-in and SE2 patches update as and when these are released. g) Perform Asset Management of all computers and peripherals as well as Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software. This includes updating and maintaining of asset records and tracking of asset movements for deployment, loan or sent for repair. h) Some knowledge of SAP would be advantageous but if candidate has interest in doing SAP consultancy, some training will be arranged.
