Vacancy - Research Assistants Jakarta based The UK Department for International Development (DFID) has contracted Oxford Policy Management Limited (OPML) to provide low carbon policy development support to the Centre for Climate Change Financing and Multilateral Policy (PKPPIM) in the Fiscal Policy Agency of the Ministry of Finance (MOF); and to the Indonesian Investment Agency (Pusat Investasi Pemerintah - PIP) in Indonesia. The policy development support aims to assist MOF to develop appropriate fiscal policies and financing arrangements to address the issues of climate change and the implementation of effective low carbon policies by the Government of Indonesia. The United Kingdom, Low Carbon Support Programme (LCS) to the Ministry of Finance Indonesia is looking to recruit the following consulting position on a full time basis for the position of Research Assistants. The individual consultants selected to work on this study will be based in and work very closely with: (i) the Centre for Climate Change Financing and Multilateral Policy (PKPPIM) in the Fiscal Policy Agency of MOF; and (ii) core members of the UK Low Carbon Support (LCS) Programme to the Ministry of Finance. Work in progress and drafts of final technical inputs / deliverables must be reviewed with PKPPIM and the LCS team prior to completion of final deliverables. The selected consultants will possess the following range of qualifications and skills: Preferably have relevant masters level qualifications (in a social sciences field and preferably with background knowledge in the field of energy, climate change and environment); Have knowledge and experience in quantitative and qualitative research; Have experience in implementing stakeholder perception study and related analytical tools, particularly in conducting online and face to face interviews and in analyzing and collating results of survey data; Preferably have a strong network with public institutions, especially in the energy, climate change and environment sectors as well as donor organizations; Have ability to present insightful data (qualitative and quantitative) analysis and skills in basic report writing; and Possess excellent communications and writing skills. The scope of work to be undertaken is as follows: Assisting as directed by the LCS Senior Communications Consultant with all research and support tasks related to the survey / study, particularly in the form of: (i) gathering, processing and compiling data (ii) data analysis (including statistical data analysis) - both for the online / email-based survey and conducting the face to face / telephone interviews; Assist in making sure that high response rates are achieved; Assist in conducting face-to-face and phone calls interviews with a variety of respondents Provide analysis insights into the findings of the survey / study; Present key findings and recommendations of the survey / study to the LCS and PKPPIM managements; Assist in the management of research activities; and Any other activities assigned by PKPPIM and the LCS Senior Communications Consultant as Work Supervisor.
