Vacancy Announcement Centre for Agro-Ecology and Development (CAED) is broadly working on social justice issue with marginalized groups, dalit, women and indigenous people. It contributes these by strengthening capacity of district based NGOs. It is looking for qualified candidate for following positions: 1. Field Program Coordinator – 2 posts (Mugu-Karnali and Eastern terai based) Minimum Requirement and competencies • Bachelors Degree in Rural Development, Social Science, Agricultural Science or Public Health with 5 years experience or Masters degree of 2 years of professional working experience in program management, participatory planning, implementation and monitoring and evaluation • Good understanding of contemporary issues and approaches in the thematic area; • Good analytical skill to interpret local socio-cultural issues • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multiple tasks and coordinate with multiple stakeholders; • Ability to support and work with multi-disciplinary team • Demonstrated leadership and facilitation skill • Excellent command of oral and written English and Nepali • Good computer skills with MS Word and Excel Major Responsibilities: • Lead and manage district based program independently • Coordinate and collaborate and with multiple stakeholders • Provide intensive support to district based NGOs/CBOs, institutionalizing software mode of development (developing local human and social capital) with critical analysis in local socio-cultural context • Equip NGOs/CBOs with issue based development rights based approach selected thematic areas, including participatory planning, execution and monitoring and evaluate programs • Support multi-disciplinary team to undertake program efficiently and effectively • Write analytical reports regularly and document experiences and learning 2. Adolescents and Youth Activist- 1 post (Eastern Terai based) Minimum Requirement and competencies • Bachelors Degree in Gender, Development Studies, Social Science or Public Health with 3 years experience or Higher Secondary with 5 years of working experience in designing and implementing programs for youth and adolescents • Good understanding of contemporary issues and approaches • Ability to provide training on the issues of adolescents and youth • Good analytical skill to interpret local socio-cultural issues • Demonstrated leadership and facilitation skills • Good command of oral and written English and Nepali • Good computer skills with MS Word and Excel Major Responsibilities: • Design and develop adolescents and youth rights focused programs • Organize relevant adolescents and youth focused events and programs • Conduct adolescent and youth focused training for NGOs and youth • Coordinate and collaborate with concerned stakeholders • Prepare analytical reports, documentation on experiences and learning Deadline for applications: Interested candidates may submit their application letter along with updated CV, passport size photograph, contact number, email ID with two references by 25 January 2014 to Centre for Agro-Ecology and Development, Po Box 4555, Kathmandu, email: caedvacancy@gmail or [email protected] .
