Val and I had a surprise date today - something of a planned even by me but a total surprise to her. We went somewhat northeast to Sisseton, SD, and climbed the Nicollet Tower - pronounced nicolay as we learned today. From that 75 foot high tower we saw three states - SD, ND and MN - and it is rumored that within that vista we saw an example of every tree species within the three states, not that we could distinguish any but the very closest. Tucker was NOT particularly happy about climbing the tower nor coming back down. We finished our evening sharing an incredible meal at Ruby Tuesdays in Aberdeen.
