Won 1st in State Dramatic Reading contest memorizing 15 minute reading with three characters during each of the 4 years of high school. Played Hammond Electric Organ as organist for Methodist church age 13 to 17 until graduated from high school and went to University. Won state Bread-Baking contest, Packing Meet for Locker demonstration, runner-up in Cherry Pie Contest, Flower Arranging demonstration. 1st in Triple-Tongue-ing Cornet Solo memorized in district contest. Best actress in District contest, Piano duet contest. and other contests.
